HIV / AIDS

Since 2006, UPHLS has conducted a multitude of interventions targeting HIV&AIDS prevention and social impact mitigation among persons with disabilities. Those interventions covered evidence building and the establishment of disability-friendly health facilities. UPHLS is strengthening structures for advocacy to induce the change in the way HIV services are being provided to PWDs. This is done by characterized more involvement, increased interest, and confidence of different stakeholders in mainstreaming disability into HIV/AIDS services provision.
