HIV /AIDS

Since 2006, UPHLS has conducted many interventions targeting HIV and AIDS prevention and social impact mitigation among persons with disabilities. Those interventions covered evidence building and establishment of model disability friendly Health facilities, strengthening structures for advocacy to induce the change in the way HIV services are being provided to PWDs characterized by more involvement, increased interest and confidence of different stakeholders in mainstreaming disability into HIV/AIDS services provision.
